Poor to Wealthy
In my entire adult life I don’t believe I’ve ever made 5 figures in a single year. Yes, that’s right, I’ve never even made $10,000 in a whole year! Statistically, this means I’ve been living in extreme poverty for my entire adult life. Fortunately, I’m pretty resourceful and have been able to live a pretty comfortable life, but with severe limits and not on my own terms.
Recently, as I was scrambling around doing odd jobs for friends and family to make ends meet, I decided I had enough. For years I held myself back because I didn’t know what I wanted to do and I wasn’t about to jump into a career unless I had a real passion for it. Instead, I spent my time wandering around trying to figure out life and what I wanted from it.
The wandering started shortly after I graduated high school 8 years ago. Since then I’ve worked a lot of jobs, from being a rafting and fishing guide, marine construction worker and scuba diver, USPS delivery driver, organic produce warehouse grunt, fast food slave, apartment handyman, website designer, personal trainer, massage therapist, and most recently, Vegas party house organizer (not as fun as it sounds). During this same time I’ve lived in 17 different houses, attended 4 colleges, and moved to 7 various states (Alaska, Idaho, Utah, New York, Florida, Colorado, and Nevada).
I’ve learned a lot from the journey and grown tremendously in the process. Each step I took brought me closer to finding my personal vision of life. At first, I thought it was health and fitness, then I thought it was business (I have 3 blotted business attempts), then I thought it might be philosophy, after that it was social psychology, but each time I was left with a nagging feeling this wasn’t it.
It wasn’t until this year I finally started putting the big picture together and realized it wasn’t any one thing, but all of them together I’m deeply passionate about. I’m passionate about all the core areas of life (health, wealth, relationships, and spirituality) and about how to successfully transform all aspects into a positive manifestation of life synergy.
Hence, why this blog was created. I didn’t fully know it at the time when I originally created this blog over 2 years ago, but this is the medium which ties it all together. Through this blog I can bring together all the core areas I’m passionate about under one umbrella and share my passions with the world. Finally, I have something I can completely dive into and give my full.
Of course, for this all to work I need freedom. Freedom to travel and experiment. Freedom to explore, learn, and evolve. Freedom to live on my own terms and pursue the growth and knowledge I desire to share with all the world. This takes money and mobilization to achieve. So for the next year I’m going to be focusing most of my energy on building the foundation of wealth through a location-independence Internet business.
My goal for 2010 is to net $30,000 providing services online of life changing value (starting with health and fitness). This doesn’t sound like much to most people, but it’s nearly 4 times more than I’ve ever made in a year. And in 2011 my goal is to at least triple my income, and continue growing from there.
My journey through this transformation from poor to wealthy is all going to be documented right here on Successful Transformation. My hope is it will help you become wealthy doing what you love too.
This mission is henceforth dubbed “Operation Treasure” and will be fully underway starting January 2010.
Watch this space, treasures are to be had…

Avoid My Mistakes and Fast Track Your Path to Successfully Transforming Your Life by Discovering What I Learned After a Decade in the Self Help World.
I'm a man on the path of personal evolution bringing those who want to join along with me. I was born and raised in the remote woodlands of Alaska by Mormon parents and lost most of my hearing as a baby. This created a very socially isolated and frustrated life for me. For years I felt extremely numb, depressed, and suicidal, and knew I had to break away from my old life or fade away in unhappiness. This is my ongoing story of transformation - my journey in a new life. My purpose is to live full of joy, love, and passion while showing others how to do the same.
